Vane Behavior in Vane Compressors Under Start-up Operation
نویسندگان
چکیده
Vane oompressors can not maintain contact between a vane tip and a cylinder wall under start-up operation since backpressure acting on the vane is not sufficient. We theoretically analyzed transient behavior of the vane under the start-up operation by taking account of changes of the backpressure and discharge pressure after compression starting. The validity of the theoretical analysis was confirmed by comparison with experimental results. Oil viscosity and flow resistance of a channel oonnecti.ng a back chamber with a discharge chamber greatly affect the vane behavior under the start-up operation.

Evaluation of Composite Vane Materials for Rotary Sliding Vane Compressors
The physical performance characteristics of composite materials used for vanes in rotary, sliding-vane compressors, in general, are several orders of magnitude more difficult to quantify for design purposes than most homogeneous materials. This arises from the numerous variables that influence the response of these materials under the severe environmental conditions existing in such compressors...
متن کاملDynamic Analysis of Roller and Vane of Inverter Controlled Rotary Compressors
This paper presents a complete dynamic analysis of roller and vane of a rotary compressor widely used for air-conditioners. An approach and a set of equations are developed estimating the type of motion at vane tip and roller interface and calculating the frictional force in accordance with the motion type. The forces on roller caused by relative motion between roller and cylinder wall are anal...
متن کاملEffects of Vane Spring Stiffness on Compressor Performance
This study presents effects of the vane spring stiffness on frictional power characteristics of a refrigeration compressor. Comparisons on the compressor performance are investigated for different vane spring stiffnesses with compressors designed with high and low shell pressures. Results show that while compressors with a low shell pressure using a higher spring stiffness combination may reduc...
متن کاملAssuring Reliability of Compressors Using HFC Refrigerants
In Japan, the refrigerant used in room air-conditioners has been changed from HCFC-22 (R-22) to R-410A, a blend of HFC-32 and HFC-125 (50/50 vt%), in order to protect the ozone layer. Generally, the miscibility between the refrigerant and refrigeration oil must be assured, because the oil needs to return to the compressor from the refrigeration cycle and lubricate the sliding parts. Alternative...
متن کاملVane Dynamics Analysis of a Tilted Vane Rotary Compressor
An analytical model of vane dynamics in a tilted vane rotary compressor is presented. With the geometric relationship of the vane in a tilted slot, and the roller, the kinetic equations were derived for evaluating the reciprocating inertial force of the vane, and the chamber volume equations were obtained for calculating pressure history inside the compression chamber. The empirical friction co...
